Udupi Madras Café one amongTop 5 Vegetarian Restaurants in Mississauga-Insauga.com
You be forgiven if you said you never heard of this tucked-away gem on Enfield Place, right behind the Sussex Centre. It is not visible from the street, but its central location and unique menu brimming with Southern Indian vegetarian cuisine puts this pleasant finding high on our list of must-visit Indian restos. The cafe, intimate and decorated in dark, rich hues, offers diners the chance to sample medu vada (a sort of savory doughnut), various dosas and South Indian Thali, a mini five-course meal served with a pickle, pappad, yogurt, buttermilk, sambar, rasam, poriyal, dal or kootu, gravy, rice of the day, white rice, chapati or poori and the dessert of the day. The Thali is served on a round platter with rice in the center and, despite sounding overwhelming, is not too much for one person to finish. Diners looking for an even more authentic experience can enjoy a masala chai (tea) after their meal. The fair price point, attentive service and highly customizable menu (you can specify spice, oil and texture level for dosas) makes this inconspicuous vegetarian resto more than worth the search

“The taste of the food and hospitality!”
The Udupi Restaurant is the most authentic South Indian restaurant. No other restaurant can match up to its taste and hospitality. We have been going there for the last 10 years and we would continue to go there, because IT IS THE BEST!
“Amazing South Indian food place close to square one”
Great place for South Indian foods. Staffs are very caring, all types of dosas, Vadas, idlis, puris etc are served. Will definitely make more visits and recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy medium spicy South Indian food.

Loved the experience. This place is a hidden gem and far superior to other better known / more expensive joints for dosa and South Indian food. Great service and food options. The starter platter with assorted snacks was a treat as were the dosas. Will keep coming back.
This was my first visit to UMC. I enjoyed the authentic south indian cuisine at this restaurant. I ordered ghee roasted paper dosa and medu vada. One of the best paper dosa I had till date and sambar was best of all, I needed 4 cups of extra sambar it was so flavorful. Service is very fast, Staff is very good. I highly recommend this place to eat authentic south indian cuisine. This is gonna be my regular place to eat.
Really good brunch buffet. We were visiting from calgary and loved the food. Really happy to see goli bajji in the menu. Reminded us of restaurants back home. Service was great. They came in with hot idlis, puris and dosas to our table.
My favourite place to have Udupi food in all its glory. Situated very strategically close to the Square one mall. Very cleanly maintained. Dosas here are very delectable as is the medu vadas - reminds me of my hometown Udupi. Another must have thing is the famous Gadbad Ice-cream, you just can not miss it
